12 artists from SÃO Ateliê take to the field in this festive show. The exhibition features recent work done in the multidisciplinary studio, in painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, performance and video. These are works that don’t necessarily interact with each other, but have in common a strong freshness of spontaneous conviviality, which fosters an environment of affective and poetic exchange, and the cultivation of differences and affinities. Plastically, this complexity manifests itself both in the search for liquefied subtleties and in the firm strokes of generous layers of paint, in the cultivation of performative natures or even in works that refer to a demystified everyday life, in continuous construction and a climate of research and making. The festive nature of the show, which places everyone on the same plane, in the same field, represents the closing of a cycle and opens the way for a new production that will take place from the presentation of these finished works, duly installed in an exhibition room, prepared for the first time with a museum feel, to invite exchanges between the artists of the house and the general public in a studio environment. More than displaying a cohesive set of works, this exhibition aims to bring out the variety of artistic achievements, which in conviviality gain power and contrast, of a group of artists of roughly the same age, with different periods of experience, with productions at different levels of maturity, but who share a common ground and an enormous openness to party.
